Here’s my backstory

When I was a 13 year old growing up in India after moving from California, I spent most of my time in front of a sketchbook, embracing creativity constantly without being conscious about it myself. The people around me noticed my talent and love for art and encouraged me to pursue it in school as a young girl.

From middle school through high school, I spent my time as a visual artist. I loved painting, drawing and just being able to convey my ideas through different forms whether it was through a 3D installation or an oil painting.

I always wanted to pursue my love for art and design and ended up at Parsons in the big apple! Being able to experience and create design in the city that is known for it has been a once in a lifetime experience. While at Parsons, I found my love for user experience and interaction design. This love stemmed from coding a couple small, fun interfaces. Since then, I have not looked back and have pursued user experience design in and outside the classroom. I’m continuously on the hunt for finding solutions to real world problems, and I love that I’m able to be a part of this through design.

What I do in my free time

Being someone who’s lived in three different places, California, Bangalore and New York City, I’ve been able to experience different cultures and different people. Not only does this greatly benefit me in the workplace and in life, but it also sparked an interest to explore other cultures. I’ve been an avid traveller since I was a young child and have been to over 20 countries! Here’s some recent photos I took at some of these locations.
