OVERVIEW:
The Vice President of Global Applications asked my team to help educate developers and provide them information on digital accessibility to unify team knowledge on the topic and be able to keep it in mind at every step of the process. Eventually, this project extended into understanding how to integrate accessibility within Colgate-Palmolive.
INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTION:
I have been involved since the beginning of the project. I began with secondary research, recruiting external employees knowledgable about digital accessibility either through passion and/or job role, conducted a couple interviews, recorded interview notes, helped analyse external interviews and use the same themes to analyse internal interviews, and ideated with my team to identify insights. I then helped create ‘how might we questions’ leading to designing 2 workshops for different stakeholders with another intern and assisting the execution of them. Throughout this process, I have presented the progress of the workshop with some other team members to leadership and other stakeholders.
PROJECT IMPACT:
The project has resulted in involvement of company leadership and other internal stakeholders bringing about scale and long term impact in terms of how Colgate-Palmolive approaches digital products (integrating digital accessibility within company design system, workflow, etc).
This is a long term project and is still in progress! Click below to read the full, detailed case study.
